Day 3: Genting Highlands 雲頂高原~ 27th & 28th Jun 2011

Genting Highlands (Malay: Tanah Tinggi Genting; Chinese: 雲頂高原; simplified Chinese: 云顶高原) otherwise known as Resorts World Genting is the flagship integrated resort developed by Genting Group. It is nestled on a mountain peak (maximum elevation about 1760m) within the Titiwangsa Mountains on the border between the states of Pahang and Selangor of Malaysia.
Resorts World Genting is operated by Genting Malaysia Berhad (formerly known as Resorts World Bhd), which also operates Awana chain of resorts & hotels. It is accessible by car from Kuala Lumpur in one hour, or also accessible by a cable car called Genting Skyway (3.38 km)which at its opening used to be the world's fastest and South East Asia's longest gondola lift.
It is sometimes informally known as the Las Vegas of Malaysia, dubbed the "City of Entertainment" as it has the only legal land-based casino, Casino de Genting in the country and is run by Genting Malaysia Bhd, a subsidiary of Genting Group.
The idea of creating a hill resort located in proximity to Kuala Lumpur came up in the late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong's mind during a business trip to the Cameron Highlands in 1964. He mooted this idea while enjoying the fresh and crisp air from the balcony at his hotel room.
雲頂高原，位於馬來半島，海拔1760公尺，是蒂迪旺沙山脈其中一個山峰，亦為一個著名的山區渡假村（即雲頂娛樂城）。雲頂高原橫跨馬來西亞的彭亨州及雪蘭莪州，距離吉隆坡市中心僅51公里，可從高速公路上山，車程約45分鐘，而外國遊客則需要從吉隆坡國際機場乘坐「機場直透快鐵」到吉隆坡中環廣場，轉乘巴士到纜車站，再登上高原。雲頂高原氣候比較涼快，全年氣候不多於攝氏30度，亦甚至少於15度。
雲頂高原的渡假村由雲頂集團擁有，包括雲頂酒店、高原酒店、名勝酒店、麗園酒店、第一大酒店、麗雅公寓等住宿設施。其中第一大酒店設有6118個房間，是世界最大規模的酒店。除住宿外，雲頂高原的設施包括，主題遊樂場、購物中心、哥爾夫球場、會議場地等，亦設有現時馬來西亞唯一的合法賭場。另外，雲頂的雲星劇場，可容納6000名觀眾，不少華人以及國外歌星都經常於此舉行演唱會，亦會有舞台劇公演和頒獎典禮等活動。而雲頂高原亦是每年浮羅交怡單車賽的賽站之一。

已經是傍晚十分，晚餐後的我們還沒有決定要到那裡去。就到外頭閒逛吹吹風。。。

我們賭場逛了一圈，沒有很大的兴趣賭，卡拉ok或pub只是走過。最終我们回酒店房間說笑話。。。

早上用完早餐走到雲頂戶外娛樂場所，發現今天的天氣霧非常濃。在想可能很多娛樂設施都會關閉，並經是安全的考量。最後我們還是決定難得來到不如進去看看，說不定天氣好轉關閉的設施到時會開放。來到靠近入口處的一項遊戲設施: Spinner 那時候的天氣霧非常厚也非常寒冷，這項娛樂設施沒有關閉。而且非常多人玩。。。

非常搞笑的遊戲設施: 海盜船 Pirate Ship 當時完全沒有旅客，還以為只有我們四人在玩著遊戲。隨後來了相當數目的人數，可是非常搞笑的是坐在我們這向的全是華人，另一端全是外籍旅客，加上我們兩端各自制造喬裝效果，另場面非常搞笑。

Theme Park outdoor: Space Shot 當初還以為會蠻刺激，隨後發現並沒有想像中那樣。。。只是飛下來到一半那一秒刺激，接着往下來的都是速度非常慢。

當天玩蠻刺激的遊戲設施就是: Flying Coaster @ Genting Theme Park Outdoor 配套裡費用有一些不包括其它高消費遊戲設施，必須另外付費。但是如果有買配套，只需付較少的數額。額外的收費是(馬幣)RM10.只可惜當時朋友太累了，沒有拍到照片，我們三人也忘了看那裡遊戲單位的攝影鏡頭照片。。。：（
